Candanchú ski resort, Ski resort in Aísa, Spain
Candanchú is a ski resort in the Aragonese Pyrenees with 49 runs spanning 51 kilometers and elevations between 1,640 m (5,380 ft) and 2,400 m (7,875 ft). The mountain is served by 32 lifts of various types to move skiers across the terrain.
The resort was founded in 1928, developing from a French military camp called Camp d'Anjou into Spain's first ski resort.
The name reflects French influence in the region, and the ladybug logo represents the summer insects found on the mountain slopes.
The resort offers slopes for different skill levels, so both beginners and experienced skiers can find suitable runs. The high elevation means weather conditions can change quickly, especially on the upper sections.
The area connects with a cross-country skiing circuit and biathlon course, offering winter activities beyond downhill skiing. These trails wind through the mountain landscape with views toward the Pico del Aspe.
