Pazo de San Lourenzo, Santiago

The Pazo de San Lourenzo exhibits Romanesque architecture with stone walls, multiple naves, a cloister, and an attached church within expansive gardens.

Bishop Martin Arias commissioned the construction in the 13th century, and the Counts of Altamira acquired the property during the 19th century.

The marble altarpiece, transferred from San Francisco convent in Seville, represents the artistic exchange between Spanish regions during the 16th century.

Tours of the pazo operate on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:30-13:30 and 16:30-18:30, with admission priced at 2 euros per person.

The property functions as a restaurant while maintaining its original Romanesque naves and features a formal garden with intricate topiary designs.
