Aran Benllyn, Mountain summit in Gwynedd, Wales
Aran Benllyn rises 885 meters above sea level as the second highest peak in the Aran mountain range of southern Snowdonia.
A memorial marker near the summit path commemorates a Mountain Rescue Service member who died from a lightning strike in 1960.
The mountain belongs to the Hewitt Hills classification system, which documents all mountains in England, Wales, and Ireland above specific elevations.
The primary hiking route starts from Cwm Cywarch, following a circuit that passes through Waun Camddwr before reaching the summit cairn.
From the peak, hikers observe Bala Lake to the north, Foel y Geifr eastward, Erw y Ddafad-ddu southward, and Rhobell Fawr westward.
