The gallery features William Irving's painting 'The Blaydon Races' and maintains the Henry Rothschild collection of studio ceramics from British artisans.
Located on Prince Consort Road, the gallery opens Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 to 16:00 and Saturday from 10:00 to 17:00 with free admission.
The permanent exhibition 'Designs for Life' presents objects from different periods, including Antony Gormley's maquette of the Angel of the North.
