Church of St Clement, Grade II* listed Anglican church in Leigh-on-Sea, England.

Church of St Clement sits atop a hill commanding views over the harbor and Thames Estuary below. A sturdy west tower built from stone and flint materials rises prominently and forms the main landmark from the town.

The building as it stands today took shape in the late medieval period, though an earlier church occupied this site before. Portions of the chancel may date to the 14th century, showing how the structure absorbed earlier work over time.

The interior holds stained glass works from renowned glass makers that cast colored light throughout the space. An ancient baptismal font from the 15th century sits as a focal point reflecting centuries of parish life.

The hilltop location means a short walk from the town center, but the setting rewards the effort. The interior is open to visitors and offers a quiet space for exploration and reflection.

The building holds a small medieval stone basin from before the Reformation standing near the altar, a rare survivor of early church practice. A separate chapel room was added later as a memorial to an important religious leader.
