Santi Martiri, Baroque church in central Turin, Italy
The church features a single nave with four side chapels, adorned with marble decorations, stucco works, and frescoes throughout its interior spaces.
Construction began in 1577 under Duke Emanuele Filiberto, with the building designed by Pellegrino Tibaldi to house the relics of Turin's patron saints.
The church contains the tombs of three notable Turin figures: philosopher Joseph de Maistre, mayor Giovanni Francesco Bellezia, and political theorist Giovanni Botero.
The church opens daily from 11:00 to 13:00 and 16:00 to 19:00, with regular services managed by the Community of Sant'Egidio.
The main altar, designed by royal architect Filippo Juvarra in 1730, incorporates a gilded bronze urn containing the relics of Turin's patron saints.
