Oasi naturale Valle della Caccia, Nature reserve in Senerchia, Italy
The reserve extends across 450 hectares of land, featuring a 30-meter waterfall along the Acquabianca stream surrounded by beech, oak, and birch woods.
Established in 1992 and opened in 1993, the Oasi Valle della Caccia gained status as a Site of Community Interest and Special Protection Zone for its ecological value.
The reserve contains multiple limestone caves, including the Grotta del Muschio, where water creates distinctive patterns on moss-covered surfaces.
The reserve opens from April to September on weekends from 10 AM to 7 PM, with extended hours until 8 PM during daylight saving time.
The riverbanks display a characteristic white coloration due to limestone deposits, which gave rise to the name Acquabianca, meaning White Water.
