Oasi naturale Valle della Caccia

The Oasi naturale Valle della Caccia is a protected area in southern Italy with extensive woodlands and a prominent waterway. The Acquabianca stream flows through dense stands of beech, oak, and birch trees, forming cascades as it descends.

This area became a protected reserve in 1992 and opened to visitors the following year. Its designation as a Site of Community Interest reflects its important ecological role in the region.

The caves within this protected area draw visitors interested in exploring the natural landscape's variety. People can enter the Grotta del Muschio, where flowing water creates patterns across moss-covered stone.

The best time to visit is from April through September when the area is open to guests. Wear sturdy shoes and bring water, as trails pass through forested terrain with uneven ground.

The Acquabianca stream owes its name to the distinctive white tint of its banks, caused by limestone deposits. This striking feature makes the waterway immediately recognizable and sets it apart from other streams in the area.
