The Teatro Carignano features ornate Baroque architecture with intricate decorations, including the ceiling painted with the Triumph of Bacchus by Francesco Gonin in 1845.
Designed by architect Benedetto Alfieri, the theater opened its doors in 1753 and underwent reconstruction in 1786 following a fire that damaged much of the structure.
