San Pietro in Sala Church

San Pietro in Sala Church is a three-nave church building in western Milan with its current form dating to a 20th century reconstruction. The interior displays a modern design from that rebuilding period with a clear spatial layout.

The original church was founded in 1028 when Canon Ottone da Bezo received land donated by widow Raidruda. Bishop Ariberto da Intimiano consecrated the building, establishing the first religious structure on the site.

The church follows the Ambrosian Rite practiced throughout Milan's archdiocese, and worshippers gather regularly for services and community events. You can sense this tradition in how the space is used for both religious ceremonies and local meetings.
