Torre Solea is a residential tower in the Garibaldi district with three distinct wings connected by a central core that allows natural light to flow through the building. It houses around 100 apartments of varying sizes along with shared spaces for recreation and gathering.
The tower was completed in 2013 as part of the Porta Nuova district redevelopment initiative. Its design by Arquitectonica marked a turning point in revitalizing Milan's former industrial northern neighborhoods.
The tower transformed the Garibaldi neighborhood into a modern residential hub where neighbors gather in shared spaces and build community. The design reflects how contemporary Milan residents live, balancing private apartments with common areas for socializing.
The building features multiple shared facilities including a party room, home theater, reading area, and children's play areas. Keep in mind this is a private residential building, so access is limited to residents and their guests.
The building's terraces are irregularly placed and project outward like floating gardens from the facade. They create private outdoor spaces high above the street where residents have green retreats suspended over the city.
