Azuchi Castle Museum

The Azuchi Castle Museum houses a detailed 1:20 scale model of the original castle with its complex seven-story internal structure and five-tier external design. The model can be partially opened to reveal interior rooms and layouts.

The castle was built in the late 16th century by Oda Nobunaga and revolutionized Japanese castle architecture. It was among the first to feature an architecturally significant tower keep.

The museum displays armor and documents from the Sengoku period. Visitors can observe how Japanese castle architecture evolved and was refined during this era.

The museum sits three minutes from Azuchi Station and is easily accessible. Visitors find free parking available on the grounds.
