Palazzo Bocca Trezza, Renaissance palace in Verona, Italy.
Palazzo Bocca Trezza is a Renaissance palace featuring a classical facade that faces two streets in central Verona. The complex includes the main building, an annex from the 20th century, former stables, and a public garden that make up the entire property.
The building was constructed during the second half of the 1500s as a residence for a wealthy family. It got its current name in 1922 when a noblewoman named Lavinia Bocca Trezza left it to the city in her will.
The palace takes its name from a noblewoman who gave it to the city, reflecting how Renaissance wealth was displayed through architecture. Walking through it shows how the wealthy lived in Verona during that period.
The palace is located in central Verona and is easy to reach on foot from the main areas. Currently the building is undergoing renovation to become municipal offices and exhibition spaces open to visitors.
The renovation plan divides the complex into four distinct sections including the main palace, a separate building from the 1930s, former stables, and a public garden area. This layout reveals how the original palace grew over centuries by adding different structures for various purposes.
