Shibata Castle Ruins Park

Shibata Castle Ruins Park is an open green space that preserves the remains of a fortification that once stood in this location. The three-story tower features distinctive black and white wall patterns and sits within landscaped grounds where visitors can walk among remnants of the former stronghold.

Each spring, hundreds of cherry trees fill the grounds with pink blossoms that reflect in the old castle moat water. In the evening, paper lanterns are lit around the site, creating a soft glow that transforms the space into something magical.
