Hagi Museum, Public museum in Hagi Castle Town, Japan

The Hagi Museum occupies a former samurai residence within the traditional building preservation district, featuring exhibitions about local history and culture.

Opening its doors in November 2004, the museum stands on the former grounds of the Ohno Mori family estate in the preserved Edo-period castle town.

The museum contains exhibition zones dedicated to Hagi studies, displaying artifacts related to the Choshu Domain, Meiji Restoration, and regional development.

The museum operates from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM with last entry at 4:30 PM, charging 520 yen for adults and offering parking for 93 cars and 8 buses.

The facility includes a traditional nagayamon gate building that displays household items and shop signs from the early to mid-Showa period.
