花応院, Buddhist temple in Fujisawa, Japan.
The main hall of Yugyoji Temple features grand architecture with intricate designs, while surrounding gardens contain traditional Japanese landscaping elements and koi ponds.
Founded during the Kamakura Period in the 1200s by Priest Ippen, Yugyoji Temple stands as the central temple for the Ji Sect, a branch of Pure Land Buddhism.
The temple houses a Treasure House that displays important artifacts, including portraits, documents, and statues connected to influential figures in temple history.
Located 15 minutes from Fujisawa Station, the temple complex remains open daily with the Treasure House accepting visitors on weekends between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
