The museum is located within the Michinoeki Shitara facility and is generally open in the morning through early evening. It is closed on Tuesdays, and it also stays closed during the New Year period around late December through early January.

On the grounds of the facility stands a preserved wooden railway car from the old Toyohashi Railway Taguchi Line, which stopped running in 1968. This car offers a rare view into the transport history of the region and how it once connected to surrounding areas.
