Mount Hagitaro

Mount Hagitaro is a mountain summit in Aichi Prefecture near the border with Nagano Prefecture. The peak features wooded slopes that transition to open areas as you climb toward the top.

The peak gained recognition as one of 130 designated mountains in Aichi Prefecture. This status helped establish the region as a destination for hiking activities.

The mountain draws regular hikers who gather on the trails and at the summit to share their passion for the outdoors. The routes show signs of being well-traveled by a dedicated community of visitors.

Hikers should bring layered clothing, water, and food because weather changes rapidly at higher elevations. The trails require decent fitness and sturdy footwear.

Each spring, thousands of moss pink flowers cover the summit area in soft shades of pink, white, and purple. This seasonal bloom transforms the landscape temporarily and draws many visitors during that time.
