The Santa Chiara Church features a rectangular layout with side altars, a quadrangular sanctuary beneath a dome, and a semicircular apse with marble decorations.
Matteo Sclafani initiated the construction in 1344 on the former site of the Matteo Termini palace, with major renovations taking place in 1678.
The interior displays numerous artworks, including Olivio Sozzi's 1735 painting of St. Chiara and Antonio Grano's frescoes depicting the Trinity.
The Salesian Center within the church complex operates daily from 6:30 AM to 11:00 PM, offering guided tours and visitor services.
The church stands above ancient Punic walls, which remain visible through archaeological excavations under the theater floor of Centro Santa Chiara.
