Vel Tower Shimonoseki rises 72.65 meters with 22 floors, offering residential units and public facilities in the heart of Shimonoseki city.
The tower, completed in 2007, stands on former railway freight yard land that underwent urban redevelopment through a joint venture between local stakeholders and Shimonoseki City.
The building overlooks the Kanmon Strait and Ganryujima Island, where the legendary sword duel between Miyamoto Musashi and Sasaki Kojiro took place.
Located three minutes from Shimonoseki Station, the complex contains 98 residential units, parking facilities, and houses the Shimonoseki Citizens Activity Center.
The tower holds the distinction of being the tallest residential building in Yamaguchi Prefecture, requiring special architectural considerations due to strong maritime winds.
