Holland Hills, Combined facility in Minato, Japan.
Holland Hills is a large, modern complex in Toranomon containing multiple interconnected buildings with office spaces, public gathering areas, and retail outlets. The site also hosts a business hub where startups and entrepreneurs work on expanding their ventures across international markets.
The project was developed by Mori Building Company and architect Yamashita Sekkei, opening in 2005. It was built to meet the growing demand for contemporary business spaces in Tokyo during the period following the economic bubble era.
The name reflects the area's historical connection to Dutch merchants who once traded here during Japan's early foreign contact. This heritage shapes how the space looks today, blending Western design elements with Japanese urban sensibilities.
The site is easily accessible with ample parking and good connections to public transport. Visitors should wear comfortable shoes as the complex covers a large area with multiple entrances and connecting walkways throughout.
The site hosts one of Japan's first major venture capital gathering spaces, bringing together entrepreneurs and investors. This concentration of startup activity makes it a key point for innovation across the country.
