Nikkei Toranomon Building, Office complex in Toranomon Hills, Japan.
Nikkei Toranomon Building is an office tower in the Toranomon Hills development in Minato, Tokyo. It rises across many floors and combines office space with ground-level retail and publicly accessible areas at its base.
The building was constructed between 2017 and 2020 as part of the Toranomon Hills urban development, which reshaped this part of Minato. The broader project was one of several large-scale redevelopments that transformed the area around Toranomon station over the past decade.
The building takes its name from the Nikkei Group, one of Japan's leading financial media companies, which has its headquarters here. The Toranomon area around it is known as a formal business district where office workers fill the streets during weekday mornings and evenings.
The building sits close to Toranomon Hills station and can also be reached on foot from nearby stations through underground passages. Public areas on the lower floors are open without any registration and are easy to find from the main entrance.
The fourth floor of the building is home to an innovation center that offers workspace for startups and companies looking to work side by side. This is a rare feature in a district that is otherwise dominated by large corporations and traditional financial firms.
