Zen Castle

Zen Castle is a Japanese castle in Gunma Prefecture with traditional defensive structures including stone walls, wooden gates, and a central tower that rises above the surrounding forest. Multiple connected buildings and fortifications spread across the grounds to create an integrated defensive layout.

The castle was built during the Edo period and served as a strategic military outpost and residence for local feudal lords. It lost its military role after the Meiji Restoration when Japan's power structures changed.
