Gunma Flower Park

Gunma Flower Park is a botanical garden near Mt Akagi in Maebashi with expansive grounds and diverse plant collections. The park contains five greenhouses and themed garden sections representing different countries and their plant life.

The park was established as a major attraction in Gunma Prefecture by combining traditional Japanese garden design with international horticultural elements. This blend of local and global approaches shaped its growth and purpose.

The garden includes sections dedicated to plants from Indonesia, the Philippines, Mexico, and Brazil, allowing visitors to walk through different botanical worlds side by side. Each area reflects the natural character of its represented country.

Reach the park by train to Ogo Station from Chuo-Maebashi, then use an on-demand bus or taxi for the final part of your journey. Public transportation connections work best if you plan the transfer in advance.

The central flower patterns change every two weeks following seasonal blooms and are best viewed from the Park Tower observation point. This regular transformation makes each visit feel different.
