Hala Krupowa

Hala Krupowa is a mountain pasture in the Pasmo Policy range with a wooden shelter building situated where multiple hiking trails intersect. The location sits in an open mountain landscape and serves as a hub where paths meet that guide visitors through the Beskid Żywiecki mountains.

The area was once a center of shepherding culture, where herders drove livestock to higher elevations during periods of population growth in the wider region. This tradition of alpine pastoralism shaped the landscape and left traces visible in the cultural environment today.

The lodge serves as a gathering place where hikers meet and connect, embodying the tradition of mountain hospitality that brings people together in this remote part of the Beskids.

The shelter provides accommodation and meals for small groups along with trail information and equipment advice for visitors. A Mountain Volunteer Rescue Service base operates on site to assist hikers with safety concerns and route guidance.

Along the hiking trails, historic boundary markers indicate a former international border and remind visitors of old trade routes that crossed this mountain region. These markers tell the story of a time when goods moved through hidden paths across the mountains.
