The area once served as pastureland for sheep belonging to the Śmietan family from Skawica. This connection to the family is reflected in the older name Cyl Hali Śmietanowej.
The mountain forms part of the Main Trail of Beskidy, connecting 155 peaks and representing the mountaineering heritage of the Lesser Poland Voivodeship.
A marked trail from nearby Mosorny Groń leads to the summit and takes roughly an hour to hike. The path is well maintained and suitable for people with basic hiking experience.
On clear days, the summit offers views toward the Tatras, a mountain range to the south. This distant view rewards hikers for their climb.
