Skansen im. Józefa Żaka w Zawoi Markowej

The museum complex contains three wooden residential buildings, a chapel, a blacksmith workshop, and a cellar with a granary displaying regional mountain architecture.

The museum was established in 1973 when the PTTK Branch purchased land with a house belonging to Franciszek Kudzia, built around 1900.

The oldest building, the Słopniak House from 1802-1815, demonstrates traditional construction techniques with spruce and fir beams and a central threshing floor.

The museum opens daily from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, offering guided tours through preserved buildings that showcase local mountain life.

The museum houses a collection of religious oleographs from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, which were common decorative items in local homes.
