Mędralowa, Mountain summit in Western Beskids, Poland.
Mędralowa is a summit in the Western Beskids reaching 1,170 meters above sea level, with slopes covered by forests of conifers and mixed vegetation. The peak offers views across surrounding mountain ridges and valleys.
The summit served as a boundary marker between regions since medieval times, marking geographical divisions recognized by neighboring communities for centuries. This position made it a natural reference point for local peoples across centuries of settlement.
Local mountain guides share traditional stories about Mędralowa during group expeditions, incorporating elements of Carpathian folklore into their narratives.
Multiple marked trails provide access to the summit, with varying difficulty depending on your starting point. The nearby mountain shelter Szałas lies just beyond the peak to the northeast and offers a place to rest during or after your climb.
The peak is known by two different names depending on which side of the border you approach from. Polish locals call it Mędralowa while Slovak and Czech visitors refer to it as Beskydok.
