Praia da Cordoama

This beach stretches about two kilometers along the coast and is framed by dark cliffs that rise above golden sand. Clear water and natural rock formations create a striking contrast along the shoreline.

The beach is part of the Sudoeste Alentejano e Costa Vicentina Natural Park, which was established to protect the region's coastal landscapes. This designation reflects efforts to preserve the area's natural character.

Fishermen still work here using traditional methods and sell their catch directly at the beach bar. This way of life shapes the daily rhythm of the beach and connects visitors to local practices that have remained largely unchanged for generations.

During summer, lifeguards are on duty and parking is available near the beach. A restaurant on site serves regional food if you need to eat during your visit.

At low tide, this beach merges with the neighboring beaches of Castelejo and Barriga to form one long sandy stretch. This happens only during certain tidal conditions and offers a completely different experience than at high tide.
