Usadba Mordvinovyh, Estate in Lomonosov, Russia

Usadba Mordvinovyh is an estate in Lomonosov featuring stone buildings, manicured gardens, and outbuildings situated near the Baltic coast. The complex includes four ponds, a conservatory, cellars, a water tower, and an arched bridge spread across its grounds.

The estate was founded in the early 1700s and went through major development when Admiral Nikolai Mordvinov took ownership in 1822. His stewardship transformed it into a significant coastal property complex.

The oak trees on the grounds captured the attention of painter Ivan Shishkin, who created works based on what he saw there. His art reflected how the natural features of the place made an impression on visitors and artists who came to the estate.

The estate sits in a rural setting with access to extensive park grounds that include multiple ponds and walking paths. Visitors should allow time to explore the various buildings and features scattered across the property.

A German settlement was established nearby in 1812 and continues to shape the character of the wider area today. This neighboring colony developed as a distinct community separate from the main estate.
