Pavilion 47 is an exhibition building at the VDNKh complex with white stucco walls, red brick accents, and two pig bas-relief sculptures at the main entrance beneath a triangular pediment. The structure now serves as a cultural venue with workshops and exhibition spaces.
The building was constructed in 1954 by architects Alexander Kolesnichenko and M. Ruchko and originally displayed pig breeds from Soviet collective farms. This function continued until the 1990s, when its purpose shifted completely.
The House of Crafts displays work by local artisans and designers working in its workshops and studios. Visitors can watch craftspeople practice both traditional and contemporary techniques during their time here.
The building is located near the Likhoborsky entrance and is accessible daily to visitors with free admission. The spaces are straightforward to navigate and offer free Wi-Fi access to all guests.
The building originally featured a demonstration courtyard where champion pig breeds performed alongside documentary film screenings. This unusual setup shows how Soviet exhibitions approached agriculture with direct animal presentation.
