Jincheng Lake

Jincheng Lake is a natural water body in Jincheng Township, Kinmen County, with willow trees lining its edges and rolling terrain surrounding the shoreline. The water is clear and the area is shaped by natural vegetation mixed with modest hillsides.

The Gugang Pavilion was built in 1964 by architect Zhuang Wu-nan as a significant construction project in the area. The structure was designed to offer views across the water and serve as a viewing point for visitors exploring the natural landscape.

The lake draws locals who enjoy spending afternoons there for leisure and social gatherings near the water. You will see families and groups of friends finding quiet spots to relax and take in the natural surroundings together.

The lake serves as a home for hoopoes that appear regularly along the water's edge throughout the seasons. These birds visit the area during different times of the year and offer chances for those interested in watching wildlife.
