Hsinchu City Fire Museum

The Hsinchu City Fire Museum occupies a former fire station with a distinctive bell tower and features exhibition halls displaying firefighting equipment and safety tools. The building houses displays organized around different aspects of fire prevention and emergency response practices.

The building was constructed in 1937 during Japanese administration and remains the only surviving structure from that era in the area. It was later repurposed as a museum to preserve the history of firefighting and emergency services.

The museum displays firefighting equipment spanning different periods, including vintage trucks, reflecting how fire protection evolved and shaped community safety practices over time.

The museum is centrally located and easy to find in the city, offering free admission to all visitors during operating hours. Group tours can be arranged in advance for larger visiting parties.

The museum offers interactive simulations where visitors can experience realistic emergency scenarios in specially designed rooms. An earthquake simulator and smoke room provide hands-on training that brings safety lessons to life.
