Hsinchu City Fire Museum, Fire safety museum in North District, Hsinchu City, Taiwan
The Fire Museum occupies a former fire station building with a bell tower and features multiple exhibition halls dedicated to firefighting equipment and safety.
The structure, completed in 1937 during Japanese rule, stands as the sole remaining building from that period and transformed into a museum in 2002.
The exhibition space presents numerous artifacts from Taiwan's firefighting history, including an antique Kinder fire truck and traditional equipment from different periods.
The museum maintains free admission and opens daily except Mondays, with guided tours available for groups of 15 or more through advance reservations.
Visitors experience simulated emergency scenarios in specialized rooms, including an earthquake platform with 4D effects and a smoke-filled environment for safety training.
