The museum, established in 1989, contains exhibits documenting the strategic importance of Palanok Castle during Austrian-Hungarian conflicts and medieval wars.
The exhibition halls showcase regional folk costumes, traditional embroidery patterns, and a dedicated art gallery featuring Ukrainian, Polish, and Hungarian painters.
The museum opens from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM with shorter hours in winter, offering guided tours in multiple languages for groups upon reservation.
Visitors can explore the medieval torture chamber and view the ceremonial bedroom of Ilona Zrini, which now serves as a marriage registration location.
