The 715-acre park extends along Lake Michigan's shoreline, featuring woodland trails, wetlands, and a mile-long sandy beach for outdoor activities.
From 1890 to 1925, the site operated as a dolomite quarry with a company town called Stonehaven, employing immigrants from Luxembourg and Eastern Europe.
The park includes preserved foundations of former quarry buildings, telling the story of Wisconsin's industrial development and immigrant communities.
Visitors can access 73 camping sites, including 32 with electricity, plus dedicated areas for fishing, swimming, and hiking along four miles of trails.
The park contains a 26-acre lake formed from a former stone quarry, now surrounded by white cedar swamp and offering distinct fishing opportunities.
