Madison Green

Madison Green is a residential tower with 31 stories located at the intersection of East 23rd Street and Broadway in the Flatiron District. The building houses 424 apartments within a concrete and glass structure.

The site experienced a devastating fire in 1966 that claimed the lives of twelve New York City firefighters. This tragedy marked the location before the current building was constructed.

This building represents a turning point when the Flatiron District shifted from a commercial area to a residential neighborhood during the 1980s. The change transformed how the entire district looked and functioned.

The building sits near multiple subway lines including the N, R, and Q trains, all accessible just outside the entrance. A large community lounge on the 30th floor provides city views and is a convenient spot to explore from inside.

Each floor has its own laundry facilities for residents, while the ground floor lobby houses a built-in ATM. These conveniences make everyday tasks easy to handle right in the building.
