Palmer Park Boulevard Apartments District
Palmer Park Boulevard Apartments District, Historic residential district in Detroit, United States.
The Palmer Park Boulevard Apartments District contains forty buildings constructed between 1925 and 1965, featuring five to six-story residential structures.
Thomas Palmer, a former US Senator, initially owned this land and intended to develop it into a subdivision before his death in 1913.
The district incorporates various architectural styles, including Egyptian, Spanish Colonial Revival, Mediterranean, Venetian, Tudor, and Moorish Revival designs.
Located between Pontchartrain Boulevard, McNichols Road, and Covington Drive, the district extends to Woodward Avenue following a 2005 boundary increase.
The buildings were designed by multiple architects, including Albert Kahn, Weidmaier and Gay, Robert West, and William Kapp during the early 20th century.
