The Saint Paul Manor Apartments features a U-shaped design with four and a half stories, constructed of brick with precast concrete and stone panels.
Built in 1925 for upper-middle-class residents, the property was sold in 1929 due to financial difficulties faced by original owners Morris Rosenberg and Louis Kaplan.
The building represents the Art Deco architectural movement with ornamental medallions, relief trim panels, and half-round arches adorning its window openings.
Located at 356 East Grand Boulevard in Detroit, the building contains 36 apartments and includes a commercial space in the basement level.
The Messiah Housing Corporation, which also manages El Tovar Apartments and Kingston Arms Apartments, performed renovations on the building in 1987.
