Saint Paul Manor Apartments

The building was constructed in 1925 to house more affluent residents during a period of growth in Detroit. It changed ownership in 1929 when financial circumstances required the original developers to sell the property.

The building displays Art Deco design through ornamental details, relief panels, and distinctive half-round window arches that define its appearance. These features are typical of 1920s residential architecture built for more affluent residents.

The building is located at 356 East Grand Boulevard and contains 36 apartments with commercial space in the basement level. The site provides convenient access to neighborhood services and is easily reached from major routes.

The Messiah Housing Corporation, which operates other residential complexes in the city, performed major renovations on the building in 1987. These improvements helped preserve the original structure while meeting modern living standards.
