Sea of the Ear, Steel sculpture in Lincoln Park, Milwaukee, United States

Sea of the Ear is a steel sculpture installed in Lincoln Park on Milwaukee's north side. The work features a bright red finish on galvanized steel surfaces and measures approximately 14 feet (4.3 m) high and 24 feet (7.3 m) wide.

The sculpture was commissioned through the Milwaukee County Percent for Art Program and installed in May 2009 over the course of two days. Artist Takashi Soga created this piece as part of Milwaukee's public art initiatives.

The sculpture represents Takashi Soga's approach to creating public art that connects with viewers through its physical presence and structural design.

The sculpture is positioned in an open area of Lincoln Park and can be viewed from multiple angles throughout the day. Its location offers easy access for pedestrians exploring the park.

The structure incorporates kinetic elements that respond to environmental conditions, creating different visual experiences as weather patterns change.
