Founded in 1877 and incorporated in 1886, the Seabright Lawn Tennis and Cricket Club represents one of the first establishments dedicated to lawn tennis in America.
The clubhouse, designed by the architectural firm Renwick, Aspinwall and Russell in 1886, exemplifies the Tudor Revival style of nineteenth-century recreational facilities.
Members have access to 16 lawn tennis courts, 15 Har-Tru courts, one hard court, and four platform tennis courts within the expansive grounds.
The club maintains an archive of over 300 photographs, vintage tennis racquets, and tournament trophies documenting the evolution of tennis in the United States.
