The architectural firm Hannaford and Sons designed this residential structure in 1891, marking a significant period of urban development in downtown Cincinnati during the late nineteenth century.
The National Register of Historic Places added this building to its records on March 3, 1980, recognizing its role in the architectural evolution of Hamilton County.
Located at the intersection of Ninth and Race Streets, the building maintains its function as residential apartments while preserving the architectural elements of its original design.
The building presents two primary facades of equal architectural merit, with the Ninth Street and Race Street sides each displaying detailed ornamental features and wrought iron railings.
