Sheraton New York Hotel and Towers, 51-story luxury hotel in Times Square, Manhattan, US
The white skyscraper rises 501 feet above Seventh Avenue between 52nd and 53rd Street, featuring rectangular architecture and large public spaces.
The building opened in 1962 as the Americana of New York before becoming part of Sheraton Hotels chain in 1979.
John Lennon and Paul McCartney selected this location to announce the creation of Apple Corps record label through a press conference in 1968.
The hotel contains individual thermostats and refrigerators in each room, plus direct access to Broadway theaters and Fifth Avenue shopping areas.
The structure held the record as the tallest hotel worldwide based on the number and height of its inhabited floors for several years.
