Solomon Kimball House
Solomon Kimball House, Colonial house in Wenham, Massachusetts, US.
The Solomon Kimball House exhibits First Period architecture with hand-hewn timber framing, asymmetrical chimneys, and small multi-pane windows throughout its structure.
Built around 1696 by Thomas Kilham, a King Philip's War veteran, the house was later owned by Captain Matthew Fairfield, who participated in the Battles of Chelsea Creek and Bunker Hill.
The residence witnessed generations of Fairfield family members who held positions in local governance and church leadership, contributing to Wenham's community development.
Located at 26 Maple Street in Wenham, Massachusetts, the property received National Register of Historic Places designation in March 1990 under reference number 90000264.
The original owner's wife, Mary Solart Kilham, maintained connections to individuals directly involved in the Salem Witch Trials during the colonial period.
