Woodcock Nature Center

Woodcock Nature Center is a 149 acre property featuring wetlands, forests, and hiking trails lined with historic stone walls and native vegetation. The grounds offer a network of pathways that connect different landscape types across the site.

The facility was established in 1972 as a private nonprofit organization dedicated to environmental education and nature programs. It was founded to build awareness and understanding of local natural areas in Connecticut.

The center hosts seasonal gatherings like the Wreath Festival and Spring Celebration that bring neighbors together through shared outdoor experiences. These events use the natural landscape as a gathering place for the community.
