Rockland

Rockland is a Greek Revival brick residence with a three-bay main section and two telescoping additions in Brooklandville. The exterior walls are stuccoed to create ashlar masonry patterns.

The house was built in 1837 by architect David Carlisle as a country residence. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983 for its architectural significance.

The property demonstrates rural life through its preserved outbuildings like the smokehouse and bake oven that visitors can observe. These structures show how people managed daily tasks on farms in the surrounding region.
