Swan Lake Park

Swan Lake Park is a natural recreation area in East Patchogue featuring a lake that flows into Swan River with established walking paths along the shoreline. The grounds include open green spaces and waterfront areas where visitors can spend time outdoors.

The area was originally called Stevensville until Alden S. Swan purchased the property in 1895, which eventually led to the official name change. The renaming reflected the new ownership and became part of the local identity.

The Swan Lake Park Civic Association manages a community center at the lake, organizing local gatherings and recreational activities throughout the year.

The lake offers fishing opportunities with multiple fish species available throughout the year. Walking paths are clearly laid out making it straightforward to navigate the grounds on foot.

The lake is home to several duck and swan species that residents and visitors frequently observe throughout the year. These water birds add a natural element that changes with the seasons.
