Loomis Observatory

The Loomis Observatory is an astronomical observatory at Western Reserve Academy featuring a brick building with a copper dome. The structure houses multiple telescopes and historic instruments for astronomical observation and research.

The observatory was established in 1838 and ranks among the oldest observatories in the nation. It still contains its original Troughton and Simms telescope and other historic instruments from its founding era.
