City Hall

City Hall is a municipal building in Richardsonian Romanesque style constructed from limestone and sandstone walls. A 55-meter tower with clock faces on all sides rises from the structure and defines the skyline.

The building was completed in 1897 to express the city's growing significance during that era. A fire in 2010 caused major damage, but extensive restoration work in subsequent years returned it to its original condition.

This structure represents an era when American cities expressed their importance through substantial public buildings. Visitors can observe the craftsmanship of stonemasons and the detailed ornamental work across the facade that reflects this ambition.
