Harrington Athletics Village, College sports complex in Brighton, United States.
The Harrington Athletics Village is a Boston College sports facility with separate baseball and softball fields for competitive play. The Eddie Pellagrini Diamond baseball field holds 1,000 spectators while the adjacent softball field seats 300.
Boston College developed this complex after acquiring land from the Archdiocese of Boston between 2004 and 2007. The official opening took place in 2018.
The site is named after John L. Harrington, a former Boston Red Sox CEO and Boston College trustee who supported the growth of collegiate athletics. This naming reflects his role in advancing sports facilities at the university.
The Pete Frates Center within the complex offers about 31,000 square feet (2,900 square meters) of indoor training space with batting cages and pitching mounds for year-round practice. The facility is easy to navigate on foot with clear signage for visitors and athletes.
The baseball diamond can expand its seating from 1,000 to 2,500 for championship events while the softball field can accommodate up to 1,000 spectators. This flexibility allows both training matches and major competitions to be hosted at the same location.
