Wm. J. Cassidy Tire Building, Commercial building in River West, Chicago, United States.
The five-story building at 344 N. Canal Street features Chicago Commercial Style architecture with a 100,000 square feet floor area.
Built in 1902 for Tyler & Hippach Mirror Company, the structure was physically relocated in 1908, moving 52 feet south and 168 feet east.
The building represents early 20th-century industrial development in Chicago, designed by notable architect Henry J. Schlacks.
The property was purchased in 2022 for redevelopment, with plans to construct new residential apartments on the site.
At the time of its 1908 relocation, this was the largest building ever moved, with the operation costing 50,000 dollars.
