Related Companies purchased the site in 2014 and began a five-year construction process. The residential development was completed in 2021.

The building incorporates design ideas from Victorian bay windows and New York industrial warehouse architecture. These elements create a modern residential complex that honors local construction traditions.

The building is accessible directly beneath the High Line park and offers a central location in Chelsea with good access to shops and restaurants in the area. Visitors can explore the publicly accessible lobby and see the connection between the two structures under the park.

The two separate buildings are joined in an unusual way at street level through a glass-enclosed passage beneath the High Line park. This arrangement resulted from the need to work around the park during construction.
